Welcome to Paper & Peace:
A Journey to Balance, Growth, and Presence
Hello everyone, I'm Heather Evans.
I’m so happy to introduce you to Paper & Peace. Before we dive in, let me say this: this journey is as much about you as it is about me. After 2020—a year of profound shifts and challenges—I found myself rethinking life’s priorities. As a new mom and someone who thrives on creativity, I wanted to create something meaningful that reflected my passions and helped others thrive, as well. That’s how Paper & Peace came to life.
Here’s a little background on me. I studied and graduated with a BA in Psychology, a field that shaped how I view the human experience, the importance of balance, and the power of intentional action. I also spent many moons as a teacher, where the foundation of my classes was connection. I didn’t just want to just teach topics; I wanted to help students truly apply what they were learning in real life.
Now, I work in travel, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: the best trips, no matter where you go, are the ones where you are truly PRESENT. This lesson, combined with insights from thought leaders like Deepak Chopra and Eckhart Tolle, who emphasize the power of being in the moment, has profoundly influenced my approach to life.
All of these experiences have laid the foundation for a tool that helps people connect with themselves and focus on what truly matters.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved planners—not just for keeping track of tasks, but as a way to capture life’s small joys: funny moments, song lyrics, meaningful quotes, and the highlights of everyday life. I even made planners for every job I’ve had, tailoring them to fit the specific challenges I was facing. Planners have always been my way of staying focused and inspired.
Now, in this phase of my life, I wanted something more. Something that could help me stay connected to my purpose, balance my priorities, and manage life’s chaos. When I came across Oprah’s book, Build the Life You Want, it resonated deeply. It affirmed that life satisfaction is built on four pillars: Spirituality, Family, Friendship, and Meaningful Work. When these areas are nurtured, we feel grounded and capable of handling life’s challenges. But there’s more to the story. To truly thrive, we also need to focus on Finance, Home, Self-Care, and Mental & Physical Health.
That’s where you come in. These areas aren’t just about me—they’re universal. They’re for anyone, anywhere, at any stage of life. Whether you’re looking to get organized, stay inspired, or find balance, I created Paper & Peace with you in mind. The key to all of this is action. Reflection is powerful, but change can only happen when we take steps. That’s why this journal is built on checklists and prompts to help you move intentionally in all these areas. So, let’s do this together.
Let’s use Paper & Peace to reflect, create, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. This is about your story, your growth, and your peace.
Welcome to the Paper & Peace community. I’m so glad you’re here.
